Artsy Monday #51

Happy Independence Day.  Here's an Artsy Monday entry for you, celebrating with an American family:

I drew this little number back in grade school, hence the mathematical equation on top.  LOL.  Anyway, this is my first and only drawing of the Simpsons that I have kept.  I've tried numerous times before, and they never came out right.  This time, however, it was just right.  It was based on a bookmark about reading.  It stuck out to me, so I gave it a re-drawing whirl.  In the end, I really liked the outcome.  I even made the couch double-cushioned because of some improper placement.  I had a double-cushioned couch at the time, so it helped with the picture.
